If you are not the plus size person, you may not have used the plus size clothing. However, if you are a plus size or above average person, the term “plus size clothing” is a familiar term to you and a familiar aspect of your shopping list. The plus sizes are becoming a bigger part of the mainstream.

Plus size clothing is clothing between numerical sizes 14W and more, up to size 26. It is also known as the X size (1X, 2X, etc.) and has the numerical size equivalents. You can even see or hear the plus sizes, which are basically referred to as “women’s sizes”.

Many retail stores should have a separate section for plus size clothing. As obesity rates increase day by day in the US, plus size clothing is becoming a major draw for retailers.
